Mohamed Salah Offers Statement to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has revealed that the Egyptian forward said sorry to the team after the fallout from his recent interview.

The Fallout

He was omitted from a vital match following criticising the club and claiming his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I'm sorry.’”

Arne Slot has chosen not to comment publicly on whether he received a personal apology from the 33-year-old forward.

Looking Ahead

The player stated that the squad's reaction stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” the midfielder explained.

The midfielder also suggested that a competitor wanting to play is preferable. “I understand there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”

Team Form

Liverpool's form have stayed unbeaten in the period after the situation. The player is convinced the forward's comments were never meant to cause disruption.

“If passion has boiled over, the source has been from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “It's behind us and we’re building chemistry, performing and securing victories.”
