The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement across the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the game's release, to players developing strong views on the full lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique designs that highlight their personalities, one thought came to mind: How can link this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

Aries – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes the Ram far more similar to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Remain on the friendly side of both and enjoy a strong partner; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Much like a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Mega form, has assisted many players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, each the Pokémon and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a firm belief – will stand up for their position to the end. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unashamed love of snacks. Several previous official descriptions mention their fondness for tasty sap and how it uses its appendage to hoard it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.

The Twins – Mega Medicham

Look at this absolute royalty. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the life of every party, providing an constant stream of gossip to those who wants to listen. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's incredibly simple to imagine Super Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also states its capacity to predict an enemy’s next moves, which seems quite similar to a people-smart Twins.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

The Crab is widely regarded as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol known for often becoming wrapped up in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to make a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their own parade.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Oh, did you assume I was planning to pick Pyroar for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the fact that it would be much too on the nose, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being extremely glamorous (or horrifying, based on your preference). Players were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Leo offers to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its red core out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a performance, even if for extraterrestrials.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Maiden is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The sign famous for being charmingly judgmental is strongly reflected across this creature's entire lineage, from a always surprised face like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a plan.

Libra – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, sensitive being, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and striving to maintain the peace, there are numerous Libras who would probably benefit from Super Audino's abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to worry even more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through sheer hatred and vowed revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion loves karma and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a show. As a Sagittarius myself, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful small entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can imagine.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to foresee calamities in advance? That gives the exact same energy as a Goat, who often always think they’re right. The thing is, much like a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Detached element Water Bearer is arguably the non-fire placement that is most like a flame symbol – its counterpart is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about the Archer and Water Bearer being chaotic accomplices.
